Ellie Myers has devoted her life to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities through developing community-based services and self-determination principles and policies.

With a BA degree in Sociology from Susquehanna University and a Masters in Public Administration from Penn State, she was one of the builders of the community intellectual disabilities and early intervention systems while serving as the Deputy Administrator at the Dauphin County MH/ID Program.

She also co-chaired the Pennsylvania ODP Policy Advisory Committee for several years and was awarded the Joseph P. Adelstein Professional Leadership Award by Keystone Human Services.

In recent years she has served on various community boards and continues to support and enjoy spending time with her son Corey, an adult with Down Syndrome, who works and lives in his own apartment.
