Brian Coldsmith was on the job hunt when his previous employer, The Record Herald, shut down permanently. He worked at The Record Herald for years, so a new place of employment was going to be a big adjustment for him. Employment Coordinator, Christna Geib, helped Brian improve his resume, apply for different jobs, prepare for interviews and even attended the interview with Brian to help him maintain his confidence. Brian ended up getting the job at Tractor Supply and has been working there since June of 2024!

Brian works in the dog food section of Tractor Supply. He has an inventory sheet to stay organized of what foods he needs from the back to properly stock the front. Christina states, “Brian is an excellent employee. He consistently works very hard and is eager to learn new things. He sets goals for himself and routinely works hard towards those goals. He maintains a positive attitude and interacts well with his coworkers and customers of the store.”

Brian’s family could not have said more positive things about his experience with AHEDD and with Christina. His parent’s mentioned “Our son’s experience with AHEDD has been wonderful.  From the moment we met with his employment coordinator Christina, it was like she was his only focus.  She has been dedicated to making him a productive individual in society.  We cannot thank AHEDD enough.”

Brian has said to Christina how he now has a purpose working at Tractor Supply! His confidence and communication skills have seen great improvement. He is more organized and has a plan for each and every day, even when he is not at work. His goal for the future is to start working more hours at Tractor Supply.

Brian and Christina sure do make a great team, so I believe Brian can accomplish whatever he sets his mind to in the future!
